Is it crape or is it crepe? Apparently either is correct.

This is a painting of a paper pattern that I have hanging on the wall of the studio. The pattern was made to cut out wood for door decoration.

Yosemite Rim Fire Smoke

My studio is about 20 miles west of the nearest point of the fire and though most of the smoke has blown north there have still been days of greatly reduced air quality. It may be difficult to see this in the painting, but the faint distant hill in the center is normally clearly visible.
